Heat small amounts of substances to a high temperature while keeping them contained with the deflagrating spoon. Consists of a Stainless steel spoon of diameter 18 mm welded to a wire handle about 380 mm long. A disc of 75 mm diameter is provided for safety. It has a cork in the centre to hold the handle at the desired length.
